UNIVERSITY TEACHING AND RESEARCH FARM

BRIEF OVERVIEW

This unit plays a significant role in the teaching and research programmes of various departments in the university. The farm is a living laboratory where students immerse themselves in the knowledge about holistic nature of sustainable livestock and animal production and use the knowledge acquired to increase their livelihood.

This unit enables students:

  • To have greater opportunity for crop and livestock teaching and learning.
  • To provide practical experiences in field of crop and animal production.
  • To encourage innovation discovery.
  • Students make researches and have the opportunity to see practically and understand agricultural products and practices.
  • Teaches and trains students to embrace agriculture as source of livelihood.
  • Have a wonderful learning experience especially for Agricultural students.
